Written and directed by Enlighted creator Mike White, the first season revolves around a group of wealthy individuals staying at a luxurious resort in Hawaii before things start to take a turn for the worse. The first season received plenty of critical acclaim from critics with Collider's very own Ross Bonaime saying the show is "a smart commentary on economic and gender inequality...while also being one of the strangest and most hilarious shows to debut this year." On top of that, the season also won ten Primetime Emmys, including one for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.
Thankfully for fans of The White Lotus, HBO recently released another season, which is set in a new location (Sicily) and features a mostly new cast. Therefore, we've created a comprehensive, easy-to-read guide that will tell you all you need to know about the cast and characters of The White Lotus Season 2.

CloseTanya McQuoid-Hunt is one of the few returning characters from Season 1. In that, Tanya is a buffoonish woman who goes to the White Lotus in Hawaii to bury her mother's ashes. Fortunately, she meets a man who accepts her for who she is. In this new season, Tanya and this man, who is now her husband, travel to the White Lotus in Sicily for a romantic getaway, but the two do not seem to
be getting along.
Outside of returning to her Emmy-winning role, Jennifer Coolidge has appeared in several movies including American Pie, A Cinderella Story, and Promising Young Women as well as several other shows such as 2 Broke Girls, Gravity Falls, and The Watcher. Coolidge is also known for playing Paulette Bonafonté Parcelle in the first two Legally Blonde films and will most likely appear in the upcoming third film. In 2023 Coolidge starred in two different comedies, Shotgun Wedding and We Have a Ghost.
Jon Gries as Greg Hunt
CloseGreg Hunt is another returning character from Season 1. He is introduced as a guest at the White Lotus in Hawaii who falls in love with Tanya. Even though Greg tells Tanya he's terminally ill, she still accepts him and, the two continue their romance in this new season as they are now married. Even though Greg is much better health-wise, but he hasn’t been very nice to Tanya during the trip. In fact, Greg leaves Sicily a few days early for work, even though he was the one who suggested they go there.
Jon Gries is best known for playing Uncle Rico in the beloved indie comedy Napoleon Dynamite. He's also popped up in other movies and shows such as Get Shorty and Lost.
Sabrina Impacciatore as Valentina
CloseValentina is the hard-working manager of the White Lotus in Sicily who expects nothing but the best from her employees. Outside of work, Valentina is very lonely, partially because she doesn’t like to be around men. That’s because Valentina is a closeted lesbian who has a crush on one of her employees.
Up until this point, Sabrina Impacciatore is primarily known for appearing in Italian movies and shows such as The Last Kiss and Disokkupati. She's also been nominated for two David di Donatello awards, the Italian equivalent of the Oscars.
Haley Lu Richardson as Portia
ClosePortia is Tanya's assistant who goes with her to Sicily, much to Greg's chagrin. Tanya tells Portia to stay in her room, which the latter isn’t happy about. Fortunately, Portia forms a connection with one of the other guests at the resort, but their relationship doesn’t last very long before she starts falling for someone else.
Haley Lu Richardson is best known for her supporting roles in the coming-of-age film The Edge of Seventeen and the psychological horror film Split. She has also appeared in several other shows including Ravenwood, Recovery Road, and Jane the Virgin. Most recently, Richardson served as an executive producer on the Netflix film Love at First Sight, which she also starred in.
Aubrey Plaza as Harper Spiller
CloseHarper Spiller is a lawyer who travels with her husband to Sicily to spend time with his college roommate, who also brought his wife along. Harper is having issues with these new friends, but her husband thinks she’s being too judgmental, and a rift starts to form between the two. At one point, Harper believes that Ethan cheated on her after finding a condom wrapper in their room.
Aubrey Plaza is best known for playing April Ludgate in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation and the Shadow King in the FX superhero series Legion. She's also appeared in several movies such as Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Ingrid Goes West, Emily the Criminal, and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. Plaza will appear in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which premieres on Disney+ in late 2024. Her other upcoming projects include the R-rated comedy Animal Friends opposite Ryan Reynolds and Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis.
Will Sharpe as Ethan Spiller
CloseEthan Spiller is a newly wealthy man who is invited by his college roommate to vacation with him and his wife in Sicily. Ethan is trying hard to impress his new friends but is also becoming more disconnected from his wife. He eventually suspects that something’s going on between Harper and this roommate.
Will Sharpe is most recognized for playing Shun in the British sitcom Flowers, which he also wrote and directed. Other shows that Sharpe has appeared in include Casualty, Sherlock, and Dirk Gently.
Theo James as Cameron Sullivan
CloseCameron is a wealthy and successful businessman from a rich family who invites his college roommate, Ethan Spiller, to spend time with him and his wife Daphne in Sicily. During the trip, Cameron comes off as a gross narcissist who is ignorant of the current news cycle. He also frequently cheats on his wife and becomes weirdly infatuated with Harper.
Theo James is best known for playing Tobias "Four" Eaton in the Divergent films. He also appeared in the last two Underworld movies and had a leading role in the Netflix animated series Castlevania. James will star in Netflix’s sequel series to the 2020 Guy Ritchie film The Gentlemen.
Meghann Fahy as Daphne Sullivan
CloseDaphne is Cameron's stay-at-home wife and the mother of his children who comes with him to Italy to vacation with Ethan and Harper. Even though Daphne comes off as vapid, she still gets along with her husband. However, Daphne secretly knows about Cameron’s affairs, but she might also be cheating on him.
Meghann Fahy is most recognized for playing Sutton Brady in the Freeform dramedy The Bold Type and for playing Hannah O'Connor in the ABC soap opera One Life to Live. Other shows she's appeared in include The Good Wife, Chicago Fire, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Michael Imperioli as Dominic Di Grasso
CloseDominic Di Grasso is a Hollywood producer who travels to Sicily with his father and son to explore their ancestry. Also, all the women in their family hate him because he frequently cheats on his wife. Even though Dominic continues to have sex with other women at the beginning of the trip, he eventually becomes to feel remorseful about ruining his marriage and tries to be better.
Michael Imperioli is best known for playing Christopher Moltisanti in the beloved HBO crime drama The Sopranos, which netted him an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Imperioli has also appeared in several films such as Goodfellas, Jungle Fever, and Bad Boys.
F. Murray Abraham as Bert Di Grasso
CloseBert Di Grasso is an old man who travels with his son and grandson to Sicily. Despite his declining health, Bert still thinks of himself as thriving. He also has a thing for young women.
F. Murray Abraham became more well-known after winning an Oscar for playing Antonio Salieri in the 1984 biopic Amadeus. He's also appeared in several other movies such as Scarface, Inside Llewyn Davis, and The Grand Budapest Hotel as well as several other shows such as Homeland, Mythic Quest, and Moon Knight, in which he voiced the Moon god Khonshu.
Adam DiMarco as Albie Di Grasso
CloseAlbie is a well-meaning college graduate who's trying to maintain order between his father Dominic and his grandfather Bert during their trip. He is also trying hard not to make the same mistakes that his father made. Albie also forms a connection with Portia while in Sicily, but their relationship doesn’t last very long. Thankfully, it doesn’t take long for him to start a new romance.
Adam DiMarco got his start in acting after appearing in several family-friendly TV movies from the early 2010s such as Radio Rebel, Kiss at Pine Lake, and Zapped. Since then, he's had reoccurring roles in the Syfy series The Magicians and the Netflix series The Order.
Beatrice Grannò as Mia
CloseMia is a local singer looking for her big break. Even though she is initially reluctant to partake in sex work with her friend, Mia decides to have sex with the hotel’s older lounge pianist to further her singing career. Mia gives him some pills thinking they’re Viagra, but he later collapses, leading her to take his job.
Much like Sabrina Impacciatore, Beatrice Grannò has mostly appeared in Italian movies and shows up until this point such as The Time of Indifference and Zero.
Tom Hollander as Quentin
CloseQuentin is a gay British man who lives in Sicily with his friends. He appears at just the right time to comfort Tanya while she’s feeling down about Greg.
Tom Hollander has appeared in several movies such as Pride & Prejudice, Gosford Park, and In the Loop as well as several other shows such as American Dad!, The Night Manager, and Harley Quinn. He's also acted in several theatrical productions including Tom Stoppard's Travesties, which netted him a Tony nomination. Hollander recently had a lead role in the British spy thriller series Ipcress File.
Leo Woodall as Jack
CloseJack is Quentin's handsome nephew, who is vacationing with him in Sicily. Jack starts to become romantically involved with Portia, but it’s later revealed that he is not actually Quentin’s nephew and instead someone that Quentin got out of a rut in exchange for sex.
As of this writing, Leo Woodall hasn't popped up in much besides the film Cherry and the series Vampire Academy, but he is set to appear in two upcoming shows: the Russo Brothers' Citadel and the Netflix romantic dramedy One Day.
Simona Tabasco as Lucia
CloseLucia is Beatrice's friend and someone who often visits the White Lotus in the hopes that she can receive work from its rich guests, specifically sex work. Lucia also pushes Mia to join her as a prostitute, and later becomes close with the Di Grassos.
Simona Tabasco is another Italian actress in this cast who got her start in Italian movies and shows such as Perez and I bastardi di Pizzofalcone.Tabasco also stars alongside Grannò in the Italian medical drama DOC - Nelle tue mani.
